Wherever You Are...
Seth got this book for Christmas from his Mimi last year and it's one of the most adorable books we have. I just love it - the words and the artwork. After we read it the first time, I went through everyone in our family and told him that wherever he is their love will always be with him. I must have said what a sweet book it is, because he always says at the end of it, "Awww. That's such a sweet book." It's now know in out home as The Sweet Book. Since we have had this book, Seth often says stuff like, "Even though Papa is in Heaven, his love will always find me." It's funny how one sentence can make you feel both happy and sad. They really just outta change the name of it to The Sweet Book.

I love this picture of Mom and Dad. I gave him that shirt when we found out we were pregnant with Seth. The shirt says "Grandpa is my name, Spoiling is my game" and boy was that true! He would have reached up and grabbed those kids the moon if they'd have asked for it. Even though he ended up being called Papa, Dad wore that shirt all the time. That shirt is now in a plastic case in a cedar chest along with our wedding quilt and a few other special items. Someday, I'll give it to Seth. Dad's grandchildren will always know how much he adored them.

Memories of Papa
For Sophia's birthday last year, I wrote her a book called Memories of Papa. It was filled with pictures of my Dad and little facts about him. She has become obsessed over this book. Last night she fell asleep hugging it in her arms. She ripped the cover off of the book this morning when she woke up and was reading the book again. When I went into her room to get her she said "I broke Papa." Looks like I'll be ordering another copy of this book off of shutterfly, but that's okay. I'm thrilled that she knows who my Dad is and loves seeing pictures of him. We have a big 11X14 picture of him holding her the day after she was born. Most nights on the way to bed she looks up at the picture and says, "Night Night Papa, Love you." <3 Melts my heart!
