I remember Dad often
singing this song when we were kids (and adults too). As a child, the
humor was lost on me, but listening to it now, it's pretty funny!

Hoppy Easter
We had a nice Easter and Mom did her annual egg/basket hunt with the kids. Their baskets from Mom always make me think about Dad. Mom and Dad would always spoil them rotten, overflowing the baskets. They would pick up little goodies here and there and fill the baskets leading up to Easter. Eventually they would be filled to the brim and they would say to each other "No more. We're cut off. The baskets are full." But, sure enough, they would each keep picking up little items along the way and sneaking them in until the baskets were literally spilling over. On top of that, they would have tons of plastic eggs filled with candy and goodies for the egg hunt, along with a few eggs for their grown kids filled with our favorite Easter treat - cash! I hope I inherit their same generous spirit with my grandchildren.
